Bagan

The main reason people travel to Myanmar is to see the old temples in Bagan. We stayed in a hotel called “The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate”. It was located in Old Bagan. The rooms were in Bungalows. The hotel had a spa but we didn’t use it. There were no balloon trips during wet season otherwise that would have been on top of our list.

We walked up to Ananda Temple situated just outside our hotel.

Ananda Temple
This Buddhist temple was built in 1105.

The Buddhist temple houses four standing Buddhas, each one facing the cardinal direction of East, North, West and South.

We took a tuk-tuk and the driver took us around to see many fantastic temples and stupas in Old Bagan.

During mid day it was very hot and we went back to the hotel for lunch and some relaxing time by the pool.
